Two parts that are usually mirror images of each other form scissor hook. A pin connects these two parts. The pin allows them to rotate around this pin in such a manner that the opposite ends on either side of the pin are either close or separate. On one side of the connecting pin these parts have a shorter curved portion that forms the actual hook, and the other side extends into elongated members, functioning as hook's operating handles.
