Abstract of the Disclosure An improved scored rupture disk apparatus which includes one or more scores on a surface thereof defining one or more blowout portions therein which remain attached to the apparatus by one or more unscored areas which act as hinges upon the rupture of the apparatus. The apparatus includes at least two portions of dif- ferent thickness, the portion of least thickness including the one or more scores defining the one or more blowout portions and a thicker portion of the apparatus including at least the unscored areas which act as hinges. -18-
