ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention contemplates a scouring-pad construction wherein an outer tubular envelope is inside-out loosely knitted around a loosely fabricated pliant stuffer material, given lengths of such materials being secured to establish end closure along generally transverse alignments. In a preferred form, the inner and outer materials are both knitted, and thermoplastic filament is an important component of both knits, the ends being heat-sealed for permanent closure by local fusion of such filaments.
