A method and system for automatically adjusting charges to a pre-paid account in a telecommunications or distributed processing network (8) following a failure in the network. After a service that is chargeable against the pre-paid account is initiated in the network, a failure (64, 80) in the network is detected. The failure prevents a charging node (20) from receiving event data relating to the pre-paid account. After recovery from the failure, a message (70, 86) is sent to the charging node containing service status information. The charging node adjusts the account balance in accordance with the service status information.
L'invention concerne un système mettant en oeuvre un procédé d'ajustement automatique des montants facturés à un compte à prépaiement dans un réseau (8) de télécommunication ou de traitement réparti, à la suite d'un incident survenu dans le réseau. Un incident (64, 80) est détecté dans le réseau après la mise en route d'un service facturable sur le compte à prépaiement dans le réseau. L'incident permet d'empêcher qu'un noeud (20) de facturation reçoive des données événement relatives au compte à prépaiement. Après reprise sur cet incident, un message (70, 86) est envoyé au noeud de facturation contenant les informations de statut de service. Le noeud de facturation ajuste le solde du compte en fonction de ces informations relatives au statut du service.
