A screen display key input unit in which any one of keys (21 to 35) shown on a screen (3) is inputted by touching with a pen (15), a mouse or the like. Each of the keys (21 to 35) shown on the screen (3) are defined with the first and second graphic character codes. A key input means for pointing out in a key display area on the screen (3) and a selection processing means for outputting one of the first and second graphic character codes defined on each of the keys (21 to 35) by determining the difference of key selection operations of the key input means are provided. The two graphic character codes are defined on each of the keys (21 to 35), so that the number of keys shown on the screen (3) is reduced as compared with a conventional input unit which each key is defined with one graphic character code, resulting in the improved operability.

Cette invention concerne une unité d'entrée à touches à présentation sur écran dans laquelle chacune des touches (21 à 35) visualisées sur un écran (3) permet une entrée par effleurement au moyen d'un crayon (15), d'une souris ou d'un autre organe analogue. Chacune des touches (21 à 35) visualisées sur l'écran est associée à un premier et à un second code à caractères graphiques. L'invention concerne également un organe d'entrée à touches permettant de pointer à l'intérieur d'une zone de visualisation des touches sur l'écran (3) et un organe de traitement de la sélection permettant de sortir l'un des premier et second code à caractères graphiques associés à chacune des touches (21 à 35) par évaluation de la différence entre les opérations de sélection de touches de l'organe d'entrée à touches.
