A screen for an automobile type window includes a roller 20 carried in an upper portion of the window frame 120, of the door 100 of a car or other vehicle. The roller carries a screen 40 wrapped about it in a manner that allows the screen to be pulled down at the same rate at which the automotive window 140 is rolled down. A spring or similar biasing device pulls the screen up and wraps it about the roller as the window 140 is raised. A fastener 60 attaches the bottom edge of the screen 60 to the top edge of the glass window of the vehicle.
