ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Screw elements of a screw used in a material processing machine, the screw being driven in rotation inside a sleeve about a central shaft provided with splines. Each screw element comprises: a cylindrical inner collar made from a product resisting mechanical driving stresses and having an inner wall on which are formed grooves for engaging the splines of the shaft, and an outer collar made from a product capable of resisting abrasion of the processed material. The outer collar has a periphery provided with material-processing means, and is mounted without clrearance on the inner collar and is connected to the inner collar to rotate therewith.
