The invention relates to a screw holder, comprising a longitudinal shaft (1) with a central axis, a back end (2) and a front end (21); and a peg (4) adjoining the front end (21). Said peg (4) also has a front end (6) and a back end (12) and has a polygon-shaped cross-section (8). An elastic element (24) is admitted into the peg (4) in such a way that said elastic element (24) projects over the cross-section (8). This arrangement enables a screw (15) whose screw head (16) has means (14) for accommodating the peg (4), to be clamped tight.
