In a screw-type extrusion machine comprising a composite casing which comprises casing sections fitted together in a longitudinal direction, the casing sections being tightly tautened relative to each other by a plurality of tie rods which extend parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the casing on the outside thereof, it is provided with a view to avoiding any over-stressing of the tie rods in the hot condition and to avoiding any leak-age between the casing sections in the case of low temperatures and non-uniform temperature distribution, that the tie rods are loaded in the longitudinal direction by a pre-stressed spring system.

Dans une extrudeuse du type à vis comportant un fourreau composite constitué de sections réunies axialement l'une à l'autre, lesdites sections étant retenues de façon rigide par une pluralité de tiges d'accouplement parallèles, posées longitudinalement à l'extérieur du fourreau, il est prévu, afin d'empêcher les tiges d'accouplement d'être le siège de surcharges dues à des températures élevées, et de prévenir les fuites aux joints entre les sections, en cas de faible température et de température non uniforme, que les tiges d'accouplement soient mises en charge par un système de ressorts précontraints agissant dans l'axe longitudinal.
