A method of allocating network assets for communication between first network endpoint and a second network endpoint includes providing a session initiation invite to a SIP proxy server for initiating a call flow between the network endpoints through the set of network assets. The call flow employs an application residing on an application server. The method also includes providing a resource reservation message from the SIP proxy server to a SIP protocol manager as a result of the session initiation invite. The resource reservation message is provided via a web services interface. The method further includes using the SIP protocol manager to allocate network assets for creating a call flow path connecting the network endpoints. The SIP protocol manager extracts information from the session initiation invite to determine an estimation of required network resources to be allocated.
L'invention porte sur un procédé d'attribution d'éléments de réseau afin de communiquer entre un premier point terminal de réseau et un second point terminal de réseau, consistant à fournir une invitation à initier une session à un serveur proxy SIP afin d'initier un flux d'appels entre les points terminaux du réseau au moyen de l'ensemble des éléments du réseau. Le flux d'appels utilise une application installée sur un serveur d'application. Ce procédé consiste aussi à fournir un message de réservation de ressources du serveur proxy SIP vers un gestionnaire de protocole SIP, suite à l'invitation à initier une session. Le message de réservation de ressource est transmis par une interface de services web. Ledit procédé consiste aussi à utiliser le gestionnaire de protocole SIP pour attribuer des éléments de réseau afin de créer un trajet de flux d'appels reliant les points terminaux de réseau. Le gestionnaire de protocole SIP extrait des informations de l'invitation à initier une session afin de déterminer une estimation des ressources de réseau requises à attribuer.
