The invention concerns a method and a device for sea surveillance. The method comprises at least: a first step (101) which consists in periodically collecting maritime traffic data by co-operating ships (NC, NC1, NC2, NC3) passing through the surveillance zone (21) based on their navigation equipment, the ships sending the data to a main sea surveillance centre (29); a second step which consists in managing the global traffic condition carried out by the main centre on the basis of the data collected by the co-operating ships, each ship thus providing a local traffic condition. The invention also concerns a device for implementing said method. The invention is particularly applicable to sea surveillance and maritime control to improve traffic security.

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de surveillance maritime. Le procédé comporte au moins: une première étape (101) de la collecte périodique d'informations de trafic maritime par des navires coopératifs (NC, NC1, NC2, NC3) transitant dans la zone de surveillance (21) à partir de leurs équipements de navigation, les navires envoyant les informations vers un centre principal de surveillance maritime (29); une deuxième étape de gestion de la situation globale de trafic effectuée par le centre principal à partir des données collectées par les navires coopératifs, chaque navire fournissant ainsi une situation locale de trafic. L'invention comporte également un dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé. L'invention s'applique notamment dans le cadre de la surveillance et du contrôle maritime pour améliorer la sécurité du trafic.
