SEAL ASSEMBLY Abstract of the Disclosure A lubricant seal assembly for a pin bushing assembly connect- ing adjoining ends of a pair of links in which one of the links has an annular groove concentric with the pin and opening both axially and radially inwardly. The oil seal assembly is composed of a first wear-resistant, annular seal element that has an axially extending portion concentric with the bushing and a radial portion having an axial outer side that engages the end of the bushing and an axial inner side with an annular recess there in. Supported in the recess is a circular plate. A second seal element has one end thereof seated in the recess of the first seal element and sides that engage the respective opposite side and outer side of the groove in the respective link member. The second seal element is composed of comparatively soft, resilient, and distortable material so that any distortion of the complete assembly will reshape the comparatively soft seal element while retaining the main seal element in proper engagement with the bushing.
