A seal construction for a suction roll in a paper machine comprises a substantially U- section holder open towards the inner face of the roll mantle, a seal mounted in the holder, which is placed in the axial direction of the roll, and consists of a frame part of the seal fitted in the holder and of a wear part, which is fixed to the frame part and placed against the inner face of the roll mantle. The seal construction also comprises loading means whereby the seal can be shifted in the holder against the inner face of the roll mantle. In the interior of the frame part, an inner loading member is located whereby the frame part of the seal can be locked in contact with the holder so as to position the wear part of the seal in the desired position in relation to the inner face of the roll mantle.
La présente invention concerne une construction de joint destinée à un rouleau aspirant de machine à papier. Cette construction de joint (10) comporte d'une part un dispositif de support (12) ayant sensiblement la forme d'un U dont l'ouverture est orientée vers la face interne (3) de la chemise dudit rouleau et d'autre part un joint fixé à l'intérieur du dispositif de support (13), disposé dans l'axe du rouleau et constitué d'un bâti (13) inséré à l'intérieur du dispositif de support (12) et d'une pièce d'usure (11) fixée audit bâti et opposée à la face interne (3) de la chemise du rouleau. Ladite construction de joint comporte également un organe de chargement, du type tuyau souple de chargement (15) ou analogue, qui permet de déplacer le joint à l'intérieur du dispositif de support (12) pour l'amener contre la face interne (3) de la chemise du rouleau. Conformément à cette invention, on peut disposer, à l'intérieur du bâti (13) du joint, un élément de chargement interne (16) qui peut servir à bloquer ledit bâti de joint en position de contact avec le dispositif de support (12) de façon à positionner la pièce d'usure (11) du joint dans la position souhaitée par rapport à la face interne (3) de la chemise du manteau.
