The invention concerns a joint designed to be used at high temperature. It mainly consists of a central core in flexible graphite (10) with its shape being maintained by two metal cups (12) not in contact with each other. The whole assembly is enclosed in a sealed jacket (15) to maintain the flexible core (10) under neutral atmosphere such as partial depression or a neutral gas.

Le joint permet d'être utilisé à haute température. Il est constitué principalement d'une âme centrale en graphite souple (10) maintenue dans sa forme par deux coupelles métalliques (12) et ne se touchant pas. Le tout est entouré d'une gaine étanche (15) permettant de maintenir l'âme souple (10) sous une atmosphère neutre, telle que le vide partiel ou un gaz neutre.
