Sealable, liquid-tight containers (10) and methods for economically manufacturing such containers for storing and dispensing substances and any other purposes for which conventional sealable, liquid-tight containers are utilized. The containers are readily and economically formed from inorganically filled mixtures comprising a water-dispersible organic polymer binder, aggregate fillers, fibers, and water. Alternatively, such containers are formed from high starch-containing compositions which optionally include inorganic fillers up to about 90 %. Such compositions can be directly molded, formed into wet sheets and then molded, formed into dry sheets and then reformed, or extruded into the container components. The containers or components thereof may optionally be coated, lined, laminated, and/or receive printing.
Récipients obturables, étanches aux liquides et procédés de réalisation économiques de ces récipients destinés au stockage et à la distribution de substances ainsi qu'à toutes les autres fins pour lesquelles les récipients obturables étanches classiques sont destinés. Ces récipients sont réalisés rapidement et économiquement à partir de mélanges contenant des composants inorganiques constitués d'un liant polymère organique dispersible dans l'eau, de charges agrégées, de fibres et d'eau. Selon un autre procédé, ces récipients sont réalisés à partir de compositions à forte teneur en amidon pouvant facultativement renfermer des charges inorganiques dans une proportion allant jusqu'à environ 90 %. Ces compositions peuvent être moulées directement, formées en nappes humides puis moulées, formées en nappes sèches puis reformées ou encore extrudées en composants de récipient. Ces récipients ou leurs composants peuvent facultativement être revêtus, chemisés, stratifiés et/ou imprimés.
