Disclosed is a moisture and temperature resistant electrical connector with a connector body (10,110) containing a terminal (10A,116), for sealingly connecting transmission means (90,122) and containing sealant composition. The sealant composition comprises (i) an elastomeric thermoplastic polymer, preferably an organic polymer composite comprising diblock and triblock copolymers, and (ii) extender for the elastomeric thermoplastic polymer. The composition may also include (iii) a crosslinked polymer which is preferably crosslinked in the present of the elastomeric thermoplastic polymer and is preferably a silicon-based crosslinked polymer. The extender is preferably a mixture of a primary low solvency extender and a secondary high solvency extender and may be a mixture of mineral oil and polyisobutene. The elastomeric thermoplastic polymer may be a block copolymer of a non-aromatic polyolefin and a poly (alkenyl arene).

Le diluant privilégié est un mélange de diluant primaire à faible solvabilité et de diluant secondaire à solvabilité élevée; le mélange peut être constitué d'huile minérale et de polyisobutène. Le polymère thermoplastique élastomère peut être un copolymère séquencé d'une polyoléfine non aromatique et d'un poly(alcénylarène).
