The present application provides a sealed electrical enclosure for use in hazardous location applications for enclosing circuit breakers or other electrical components comprising a bottom housing having a first end wall and a second end wall opposite the first end wall; a top housing positioned the bottom housing, a labyrinth seal or joint being formed between the bottom housing and the top housing; the bottom housing adapted to receive a plurality of circuit breakers or other electrical components; and a first metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the first end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; and a second metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the second end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; where the first metal bus and the second metal bus are adapted to contact first and second electrical terminals of a first circuit breaker placed within the bottom housing; and further includes a third metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the first end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; and a fourth metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the second end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; where the third metal bus and the fourth metal bus are adapted to contact the first and second electrical terminals of a second circuit breaker placed within the bottom housing; and an first actuating mechanism positioned on a top of the top housing adapted for manipulating one or more switches of circuit breakers or electrical components positions within the bottom housing; and a first vent positioned on the top housing for dissipating pressure buildup within the housing; and a second vent positioned on the bottom housing for dissipating pressure buildup within the housing; and wherein the top housing is removably secured to the bottom housing to allow for removal and replacement of circuit breakers or other electrical components within the housing.
La présente application fournit une enceinte électrique scellée utilisable dans les applications d'emplacements dangereux. Cette enceinte permet de renfermer des disjoncteurs ou d'autres composants électriques qui comprennent un boîtier de fond pourvu d'une première paroi d'extrémité et d'une seconde paroi d'extrémité opposée à la première paroi d'extrémité. Ladite enceinte comprend un boîtier supérieur placé au-dessus du boîtier de fond, un joint à labyrinthe ou un joint formé entre le boîtier de fond et le boîtier supérieur. Le boîtier de fond est adapté pour recevoir de multiples disjoncteurs ou d'autres composants électriques. Une première barre omnibus métallique va d'un point intérieur du boîtier de fond, traverse la première paroi d'extrémité pour se rendre jusqu'à un point extérieur au boîtier de fond. Une deuxième barre omnibus métallique va d'un point intérieur jusqu'au boîtier de fond, traverse la seconde paroi d'extrémité pour se rendre jusqu'à un point extérieur au boîtier de fond. La première barre omnibus métallique et la deuxième barre omnibus métallique sont adaptées pour faire contact avec les première et seconde bornes électriques d'un premier disjoncteur placé à l'intérieur du boîtier de fond. De plus, une troisième barre omnibus métallique va d'un point intérieur jusqu'au boîtier de fond, traverse la première paroi d'extrémité pour se rendre jusqu'à un point extérieur au boîtier de fond. Une quatrième barre omnibus métallique va d'un point intérieur jusqu'au boîtier de fond, traverse la deuxième paroi d'extrémité pour se rendre jusqu'à extérieur au boîtier de fond. La troisième barre omnibus et la quatrième barre omnibus sont adaptées pour faire contact avec les première et seconde bornes électriques d'un disjoncteur placé à l'intérieur du boîtier de fond. Un premier mécanisme de déclenchement placé en haut du boîtier supérieur est adapté pour manoeuvrer un ou plusieurs éléments des commandes des disjoncteurs ou des composants électriques, est placé à l'intérieur du boîtier de fond. Un premier évent est placé sur le boîtier supérieur pour dissiper la pression établie à l'intérieur du boîtier. Un second évent est placé sur le boîtier de fond pour dissiper la pression établie à l'intérieur du boîtier. Le boîtier supérieur est fixé de manière amovible au boîtier de fond pour pouvoir retirer et remettre en place les disjoncteurs ou d'autres composants électriques situés à l'intérieur du boîtier.
