This invention pertains to the fully rotary, internal combustion engine capable of building up the compression in the sealed compartments. This design, which has all advantegeous attributes of a conventional gas turbine like fully rotary motion, continuity of Otto cycle, independency of working surfaces adds the best feature of the classic reciprocating engine - compression in sealed compartments. In this way, this engine-turbine called the Sealed Compression Turbine Engine or simply the SCOT Engine is expected to be much more efficient than any reciprocating or partially reciprocating engine and, unlike the classic gas turbine, be fully controllable in the range from as fast as the maximum speed of the gas turbine down to the idling speed of the piston engine. A wide scope of both terrestrial as well as marine applications is open to SCOT as a result of its speed adjustability.
