The invention provides, in one aspect, a method of making a confectionery packet or sachet formed with an edible film and enclosing a center composition. The packet or sachet can be designed to be placed in the mouth, where the film dissolves and the center composition is released. In preferred embodiments, the center composition comprises a sugar alcohol, such as xylitol, that creates a cooling sensation. Many other flavors and/or colors or sensates can also be used in the center composition, and some embodiments include breath-freshening, anti-bacterial, nutriceutical, or pharmaceutical compositions in the center composition. The invention also comprises the edible packets or sachets, especially those composed of film with a desired retained water level suitable for producing a self-sealing film and/or an edible film packet that is stable at room temperature for at least six to twelve months.
Dans un de ses modes de réalisation, la présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication d'un paquet de confiserie ou d'un sachet formé à partir d'un film comestible et renfermant une composition centrale. Le paquet ou le sachet peuvent être conçus pour être placés dans la bouche où le film se dissout et la composition centrale est libérée. Dans des modes de réalisation préférés, la composition centrale comprend un alcool de sucre, du type xylitol, qui génère une sensation rafraîchissante. La composition centrale peut également contenir de nombreux autres parfums et/ou colorants ou agents à sensation, et dans certains modes de réalisation, la composition centrale contient des compositions purifiant l'haleine, antibactériennes, nutraceutiques, ou pharmaceutiques. L'invention se rapporte également à des sachets ou paquets comestibles, notamment ceux composés d'un film ayant une teneur en eau retenue souhaitée permettant la production d'un paquet composé d'un film hermétique et/ou comestible qui est stable à température ambiante pendant au moins 6 à 12 mois.
