SEALED SWITCH MOUNTING ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sealed control mounting for use in combination with a glass topped unit is formed by means of a collar surrounding the shank of the control unit that projects up through the glass with one end of the collar bearing against a support panel under the glass. A resilient sealing gasket surrounds the collar and overlies the glass top and is compressed by a rigid member overlying the gasket until the end of the collar is pressed against the support plate, thereby clamping the control to the support panel with the resilient gasket applying a resilient pressure to the glass so that the glass reinforces the support panel while limiting the pressure between the washer and glass.
