SEALED THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A kettle having a thermostatic sensor to limit boiling of the kettle by switching off the kettle heating element upon the occurrence of boiling is provided with a thermostat sensor sub-assembly including a thermostatic switch secured within a split housing, having an interior O-ring seal to isolate the sensing portion from the electrical components, and an external O-ring seal serving to hold the sub-assembly in assembled relation, and to secure and seal the remote end portion of the assembly within its housing in the kettle.
