The present invention relates to a wire connector which has a cavity with an internal metal coil spring that produces a wire gripping screw thread and is adapted to be screwed onto a plurality of adjacent wires for squeezing them into conductive contact with each other. There being provided a preloaded filling in the cavity of cement in its uncured state, of means for preventing curing of the cement during shipping and handling until arrival at the point of use, and means for activating the curing of the cement upon arrival of the connector at the point of use so that when the connector is screwed onto the wires to be connected, the cement can cure about the wires and provide a shakeproof electrical connection between the wires.
