1193.40 US TH/AB 1977-12-05 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a sealing arrangement between parts, which are provided to rotate relative to each other. The one part is provided with at least one groove, which partly encloses an O-ring of resilient material and in unaffected condition of O-shape and with a substantially circular cross-section. The other part shows a surface provided to be pressed against the O-ring, so that the O-ring will be deformed and obtains a sealing fit against por- tions of the groove and said surface. According to the invention the groove has a cross-section which is narrower than the cross-sec- tion of the by the pressure deformed O-ring, so that the O-ring is pressed against at least the main portion of the walls of the groove and thereby is locked in a fixed position relative to the groove. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the surface of the first part to which the groove connects and the surface of the se- cond part are axial surfaces.
