Methodologies and structure are provided for use in a communications line that transmit data without plain old telephone service (POTS), or splits the POTS service from the data service, to inhibit oxidation of electrical connections within the physical communications line between the central office of a service provider and a subscriber premises and/or subscriber equipment. A direct current load is drawn by a sealing current terminator circuit that is electrically coupled across the communications line at a convenient location proximate or within the subscriber's location so as to assist in providing oxidation reducing direct current flow along a portion of the communications loop coupling the service provider with the subscriber.
La présente invention concerne des méthodes et une structure à utiliser dans une ligne de communication, permettant de transmettre des données sans service téléphonique ordinaire (plain old telephone service / POTS), ou de séparer le service POTS du service de données, afin d'inhiber l'oxydation des connexions électriques dans des lignes de communication physiques entre le bureau central d'un prestataire de services et un local d'abonné et/ou un équipement d'abonné. Une charge de courant continu est prélevée par un circuit de terminateur de courant antioxydant qui est couplé électriquement à travers la ligne de communication en un emplacement approprié à proximité ou au sein de l'emplacement de l'abonné de façon à assister la mise à disposition d'un courant continu de réduction d'oxydation le long d'une partie de la boucle de communication qui couple de prestataire de services à l'abonné.
