A sealing grommet for electrical connectors comprises a body formed of flexible,electrically insulation material having a given thickness. At least one electrical contact receiving aperture is provided in the body and extends through the given thickness. A compliant ring surrounds the at least one electrical contact receiving aperture, said compliant ring being integrally formed with the body and comprising a groove formed around the aperture, the groove having a depth of about one half that of the body thickness.
