A sealing strip (1') is intended to seal a gap between two parts which are movable relative to each other. The sealing strip (1') comprises a surface (5') which is intended to adhere to one of the two parts and which forms part of an adhesive layer (3). Before it is adhered to the one part, the adhesive layer (3) is covered with a cover sheet (4). In order to make it easier to remove the cover sheet (4) from the adhesive layer (3) a tear-thread (7) is provided which passes through only the substance of the cover sheet (4) and whose at least one free end protrudes from the sealing strip (1').
