ABSTRACT A rotary machine wherein a rotor orbits without rotation within a casing, the rotor carrying blades in blade slots to form working chambers between the rotor and the interior of the casing. The machine carries sealing means to co-operate between the rotor end faces and the side walls of the casing, with the sealing means including seals and enclosing said blade slot areas and a seal sealing engaging adjacent the rotors circumference.
