A knitted blank in the form of a tubular body for forming a brassiere, the tubular body being formed of a body fabric comprising a plurality of courses of ground yarn extending circumferentially about the tubular body and having a pair of circumferentially spaced regions for defining breast accommodating pockets, the tubular body including discrete band-like regions of reinforcement defined by reinforcement yarns which are incorporated into the body fabric, each band-like region following the lower contour of an associated breast accommodating pocket to define an elongate breast pocket support.
L'invention concerne une pièce découpée à mailles en forme de corps tubulaire de façon à former un soutien-gorge. Le corps tubulaire est constitué d'un tissu comprenant une pluralité de rangées de mailles de fil de tissu de fond s'étendant circonférentiellement autour du corps tubulaire et ayant une paire de régions espacées circonférentiellement de façon à définir des bonnets. Le corps tubulaire comprend des bandes de renforcement discrètes définies par des fils de renforcement qui sont incorporées dans le tissu tubulaire. Chaque zone en forme de bande suit le contour inférieur du bonnet correspondant pour définir un support allongé de bonnet.
