An apparatus for attaching a seat to a seat post (18) comprises a cylindrical housing (10) with oppositely oriented openings (24) on the side of the housing (10). Top (26) and bottom (28) clamping pieces are positioned through the openings (24). Mating grooves (30) on the ends of the clamps (26, 28) are adapted for placement and securing of a pair of rails (32) affixed to the underside of the seat. A bottom block (20) is disposed beneath the clamps (26, 28) and adapted for abutment thereagainst. The interior bottom portion of the housing (10) is threaded (14), and the exterior top portion (16) of the seat post (18) is threaded for engagement therewith, whereby the seat post (18) itself is tightened against the bottom piece (20), thus securing the seat rails (32) within the clamps (26, 28) without need for tools or small components.
Un dispositif, qui permet de fixer une selle à un tube de selle (18), comprend un boîtier cylindrique (10) doté d'ouvertures orientées en opposition (24) sur un de ses côtés. Des pièces de serrage supérieure (26) et inférieure (28) sont placées au travers de ces ouvertures (24). Des rainures d'accouplement (30), disposées aux extrémités des pinces (26, 28), sont conçues pour positionner et verrouiller une paire de rails (32) fixés sur la face inférieure de la selle. Un bloc inférieur (20), disposé sous les pinces (26, 28), est conçu pour venir en butée contre elles. Le bas de la partie intérieure du boîtier (10) est fileté et le haut de la partie extérieure du tube de selle (18) est fileté pour entrer en prise avec lui, ce qui permet de serrer ce tube de selle (18) contre le bloc inférieur (20) et donc de verrouiller les rails de selle (32) dans les pinces (26, 28) sans avoir à utiliser d'outils ou de petites pièces.
