ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A seat brake is provided for use in a vehicle having a seat movable between a lower position when weight is placed on the seat and an upper position when weight is removed from the seat, and having a brake selectively engageable to brake the vehicle. The seat brake causes the brake to be engaged when the seat moves to the upper position and causes the brake to be disnegaged when said portion of said seat moves to said lower position. The seat brake also includes a lockout assembly for selectively causing the brake to be locked in disengagement. -21-
