A seat cushion is shown having a flexible and semi-rigid body is provided. The body has a seating surface and a support surface spaced apart from the seating surface forming a body thickness. The seating surface has a first area and the support surface has a second area. The body has a body composition with a first percentage by volume of EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) and wherein the EVA is substantially evenly mixed throughout the body composition with additional materials in respective percentages. The additional materials can include polyethylene, color pigment, polycarbonate, and/or dicumyl peroxide, in various percentages of the body composition. The seat cushion also has a plurality of spacing members spaced apart and substantially evenly distributed across the second area. Each of the plurality of spacing members extends outwardly in a first direction from the support surface.
L'invention concerne un coussin de siège comportant un corps flexible et semi-rigide. Le corps présente une surface d'assise et une surface de support indépendante de la surface d'assise qui forment une épaisseur de corps. La surface d'assise présente une première zone et la surface de support présente une seconde zone. La composition du corps est dotée d'un premier pourcentage en volume de EVA (Copolymère Éthylène - Acétate de Vinyle), l'EVA étant mélangé de façon sensiblement uniforme à travers toute la composition du corps avec des matières supplémentaires en pourcentages respectifs. Les matières supplémentaires peuvent comprendre un polyéthylène, un pigment coloré, un polycarbonate et/ou du peroxyde de dicumyle, dans divers pourcentages de la composition de corps. Le coussin de siège comporte également une pluralité d'éléments d'espacement espacés et distribués de façon sensiblement uniforme sur la seconde zone. Chacun des différents éléments d'espacement s'étend vers l'extérieur dans une première direction à partir de la surface de support.
