Abstract of the Disclosure A seat cushion for use in a seat of, for example, an automobile is manufactured by preparing a seat surface covering of fabric material with a first portion and a second portion of suitable material joined by sewing or high-frequency welding, and bonding a skinless molded block of cushion providing material or a profile-cut slab of cushion provding material to the seat surface covering by a bonding agent which is cured by exposure to microwave energy. The seat cushion may also include an attaching member connected between the first and second portions of the seat surface covering and extending through the mass of cushion providing material where it is locked at the opposite side by a locking member.
