\ ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a seat which is used particularly but not exclusively with a support means of the type described in Canadian patent application no. 494,975. Said seat comprises a longitudinally extending rigid core which is relatively narrow compared with the overall width of the seat and a resilient body attached to said core comprising a sitting surface, having an arcuate outline when seen from the front, a generally parabolic outline when seen in top view and a generally triangular outline when seen in side view, whereby the seat can lodge in the user's crotch so that the user can have a wide angle between his trunk and his thighs and the back straight without the inner thighs being compressed.
