ABSTRACT. SEAT RECLINING MECHANISMS. Mechanism for reclining the back seat rest relative to the seat proper include a pair of internally toothed ring gears one gear having a different number of teeth from the other ring gear. The ring gears are mounted for relative rotation about a common axis and are rotated by a shaft on the axis mounting a control gear meshing with a planetary gear in mesh with both ring gears. The planetary gear is held in mesh with the ring gears and the control gear by a support member having a concave surface. - 7 -
