Sticks are useful to hikers. This invention consists of a simple walking stick, adjustable for length, that can be transformed into a solid seat. The length adjustment mechanism is used to dismantle the stick into three pieces. The pieces, which have a hole in the centre, can be joined together by a Y-shaped metal piece and a rigid ring or a strap. A triangular nylon saddle can be easily installed on the end of the sticks to form a seat. This provides two simple objects, of optimum lightness and solidity, for the weight of just one.

Un bâton est un objet utile au randonneur. La présente invention consiste en un bâton de randonnée simple, de longueur ajustable, transformable en un solide siège. On se sert du mécanisme d'ajustement de la longueur pour démonter le bâton en trois pièces. Ces pièces percées en leurs centres peuvent être reliées ensembles par une pièce métallique en forme de "Y" et un anneau rigide ou une sangle. Sur le bout des bâtons on installe aisément une selle triangulaire en nylon pour former un siège. On obtient ainsi les deux objets de simplicités, de légèretés et de solidités optimals, pour le poids d'un seul.
