ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A seat used for swivel chairs, in particular those of the kind used in offices, that bears on its underside an adjust- ment device and is, in addition, provided with a covering on its underside. The covering is mainly attached to the underside of the seat. The adjustment device is located on the underside of the covering and the covering has a rail that surrounds the adjustment device and protrudes downwards. The height of the rail is such that it conceals the adjustment device from view when the seat is viewed from the side.
