A rear seating arrangement for a recreational vehicle is readily and easily convertible to a double and/or king-size bed approximation. Conversion of the rear seating arrangement to a double bed involves lowering a storage space enclosure behind the rear seating back rest into a horizontal position thereby to serve as a base for the seating cushions which are arranged to form a mattress. Provision is made for the extension of a section of the double bed into a galley or aisle thereby forming a T-shaped king-size bed without sacrificing space needed for other facilities and/or uses. Further the seating cushions are designed to fit together to provide a mattress having a substantially flat and level top surface when properly assembled.
