A "Secondary Roof Drain Guard" is provided having a diameter and height that is much larger than the current roof drain strainers. It is similar in shape and features in that it is an open-end cage with apertures to allow water to pass through it and also reduce the potential of leaves and other debris from clogging the existing roof drain strainers. The "Secondary Roof Drain Guard" will have three (3) J-hooks protruding up through three holes in the top most part of the "Secondary Roof Drain Guard". The top portion of the J-hook will consist of a threaded design to allow for a nut and washer to fasten down the "Secondary Roof Drain Guard". The lower portion of the J-hook will hook into the top portion of the existing roof drain. This will secure the "Secondary Roof Drain Guard" in place. This will provide preventative maintenance and improved protection from the large number of leaves and other debris that end upon the roof of buildings, especially in the fall of the year where trees have grown taller than the roof level of some buildings.
