ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A light-weight elongated sectional member usable as a ruler for casting concrete surfaces or the like on the ground and comprising an upper portion forming a ridge and extending sub- stantially the complete length of the member and a hollow widen- ed base-like lower portion having two side walls extending down- wardly and outwardly which extends substantially the complete length of the member. The member simplifies the casting of flat concrete or the like surfaces and acts as a thin spacer between adjacent slabs and permits free movement of the slabs during ex- pansion and contraction.
