A device for connecting a hose to an article, such as a wet/dry vacuum, is provided. The device includes a first member having a first and second ends, with the first end adapted to be coupled to the hose, and a receptacle having first and second ends. The first end of the receptacle is adapted to be mounted to the article, and the second end is adapted to be connected to the second end of the first member. A locking member is mounted on one of the first member or the receptacle for securing the first member to the receptacle. The device also includes at least one sealing member situated about one of the second end of the first member or the second end of the receptacle. In one embodiment, the sealing member seals against an external surface of the receptacle, and in an alternative embodiment, the sealing member seals against an internal surface of the receptacle.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour raccorder un boyau à un article, par exemple un aspirateur d'eau/ de détritus secs. Le dispositif comprend un premier élément muni de deux extrémités, la première étant adaptée pour être raccordée au boyau, ainsi qu'un réceptacle muni également de deux extrémités. La première extrémité du réceptacle est adaptée de façon à être montée sur l'article, et la seconde extrémité est adaptée de façon à être raccordée à la seconde extrémité du premier élément. Un élément de verrouillage est monté soit sur le premier élément, soit au réceptacle pour fixer le premier élément audit réceptacle. Le dispositif comporte également au moins un élément d'étanchéité situé approximativement autour de la seconde extrémité du premier élément, ou à la seconde extrémité du réceptacle. Dans une réalisation de l'invention, l'élément d'étanchéité assure un scellé contre une surface extérieure du réceptacle et, dans une autre réalisation de l'invention, l'élément d'étanchéité assurer un scellé contre une surface intérieure du réceptacle.
