Remote control of equipment located on an organisation's intranet can be achieved by using proxy and client secure access controllers which communicate using a peripheral control protocol (PCP) over a predefined port number. By allowing only outbound connections over the firewall protecting the intranet and using SSL/TLS authentication and encryption, a high level of security is maintained. A similar arrangement at a control station is used to permit monitoring of equipment at a remote site without allowing inbound connections over the firewall which protects the remote station.
Selon l'invention, la commande à distance d'équipements situés sur l'intranet d'une organisation peut être effectuée au moyen d'organes de commande d'accès sécurisé de mandataire et de client qui communiquent au moyen d'un protocole de commande de périphériques (PCP) sur un nombre de ports prédéfini. Un niveau de sécurité élevé est maintenu du fait que seules les connexions sortantes sont autorisées par l'intermédiaire d'un pare-feu protégeant l'intranet et au moyen d'une authentification et d'un codage SSL/TLS. Un agencement similaire au niveau d'une station de commande est utilisé pour permettre la surveillance des équipements sur un site à distance, sans autorisation des connexions entrantes par l'intermédiaire du pare-feu qui protège la station à distance.
