A low profile gastrointestinal tube feeding system (10) having a securing device (12) for securing a feeding set (14) to a low profile gastrostomy tube (16) thereof disposed inside the viscera of a patient's body so that inadvertent removal of the feeding set (14) from the gastrostomy tube (16) is prevented. The feeding set (14) includes hollow tubing (86) connected to a source of fluid at one end and a connection member (15) at the other end (103) for connection to the gastrostomy tube (16) and establishing fluid flow communication with the patient. The low profile gastrostomy tube (16) includes an external retention member (18) having legs (58) that seat and retain the external retention member (18) against the patient's outer body and a tubular member (60) that is disposed inside the stomach or other viscera of a patient. The connection member (15) attaches to the external retention member (18) and is secured thereto using a securing device (12). The securing device (12) includes a top portion (26) and a bottom portion (30) which are adapted to simultaneously engage respective portions of the connection member (15).
La présente invention concerne un système d'alimentation (10) à tube gastro-intestinal court pourvu d'un dispositif de fixation (12) pour fixer un ensemble d'alimentation (14) à un tube de gastrotomie court (16) placé à l'intérieur du viscère d'un patient, de telle sorte qu'il est impossible de retirer par inadvertance l'ensemble d'alimentation (14) du tube de gastrotomie (16). L'ensemble d'alimentation (14) comprend un tube creux (86) relié à une source de fluide à une extrémité et un élément de raccordement (15) à l'autre extrémité (103) en vue de son raccordement au tube de gastrotomie (16) et assurant la communication par le fluide avec le patient. Ce tube de gastrotomie (16) comprend un élément de rétention externe (18) pourvu de pattes (58) qui fixent et maintiennent l'élément de retenue externe (18) contre le corps externe du patient et un élément tubulaire (60) placé à l'intérieur de l'estomac ou de tout autre viscère du patient. L'élément de raccordement (15) est fixé à l'élément de retenue (18) par un dispositif de fixation (12) qui comprend une partie supérieure (26) et une partie inférieure (30) adaptées pour se mettre en prise respectivement avec les parties correspondantes de l'élément de raccordement (15).
