The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for securing small bags to a belt-like member. The apparatus comprises a transportation path for transporting a plurality of small bags one by one towards a first belt-like member, and an attaching apparatus for simultaneously attaching a plurality of small bags on the transportation path to the first belt-like member along the feeding direction of the first belt-like member. The apparatus is particularly suited to securing freshness. Keeping agents on the inside of packages or packaging film for foodstuffs.
