ABSTRACT This apparatus is of the kind comprising a fixed frame and a drum having a vertical axis for rotation rela- tive to and within the frame about a vertical axis this drum comprising an internal cavity intended to receive the objects to be passed and accessible through an open- ing formed in the vertical wall of the drum, the apparatus also comprising means for stopping and locking the drum relative to the chassis in two diametrically opposite positions. According to the invention, these means for stopping and looking the drum relative to the frame comprise an abutment fixed to the end of the drum and another abut- ment fixed on the end of the frame, and also an inclined leaf spring which can withdraw vertically out of the way when the stop of the drum passes, the gap left between the end of the frame and the end of the drum corresponding prac- tically to the vertical dimension of these abutments alone. The invention has particularly advantageous application in government offices, banks, etc.
