The security device comprises a plate mounted on an external lateral surface of a door frame equipped with a dead bolt. A security lever is mounted on the device so as to pivot around a vertical axis adjacent to the plate. The lever includes an internal arm extending into the cavity of the frame and an external arm extending outside. The internal arm is positioned so that the dead bolt, when in the locked position, is supported on the internal arm and makes the lever pivot on its axis. The external arm then lies against the door behind the bolt, thus acting as a shield to strengthen the lock. This security device makes it possible to lock a door effectively in a single step.
Le dispositif de sécurité comprend une plaque montée sur une surface latérale externe d'un cadre de porte muni d'une serrure à pêne dormant. Un levier de sécurité est monté à même le dispositif de façon à pouvoir pivoter autour d'un axe vertical adjacent à la plaque. Le levier inclut un bras interne s'étendant en dedans de la cavité du cadre et un bras externe s'étendant à l'extérieur. Le bras interne est positionné de façon que le pêne, lorsqu'il est en position de verrouillage, vienne prendre appui sur le bras interne et fasse pivoter le levier autour de son axe. A ce moment, le bras externe vient s'étendre contre la porte en arrière du pêne, agissant ainsi comme un bouclier renforçant la serrure. Ce dispositif de sécurité permet de verrouiller une porte efficacement en une seule étape.
