A security document card and method for production thereof are disclosed, whereby the card comprises a support (10) and a coating (5), arranged on at least one side of the support. The material of the support comprises high- density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). The material of the coating comprises polycarbonate. The support and the coating are joined by means of hot glue.

L'invention concerne un document de sécurité sous forme de carte et un procédé de fabrication associé, ladite carte étant constituée d'un support (10) et d'au moins un revêtement (5) appliqué sur une face du support. Le matériau du support contient du polyéthylène haute densité et du polyéthylène basse densité linéaire. Le matériau du revêtement contient du polycarbonate. Le support et le revêtement sont assemblés à l'aide d'une colle thermofusible.
