The invention relates to a security document (1) comprising an integrated circuit (2) which is used to communicate with an external reading and/or writing device, and at least one display element (4) which is integrated into the security document in order to visually display personal and/or product- related data (17). The display element is connected in a bi-directional manner (15) to the integrated circuit (2) and is used simultaneously by the integrated circuit (2) as a memory field.
