A security paper (1), comprising a first and a second outer layers (2a, 2b) and at least one intermediate layer (3) that is interposed between the first and second outer layers, the first outer layer (2a) being coupled to the intermediate layer (3) so as to form a monolithic body, and the intermediate layer (3) having a different coloring with respect to the first (2a) and second (2b) outer layers.
