ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Conventional door lock guard plates are relatively flimsy and make forcing of a door a simple matter. A strong door lock security device includes an elongated metal, preferably twelve gauge steel, plate which is attached to the surface of a door jamb opposite to the door side. The plate extends the entire length of the door frame and includes rectangular openings aligned with similar openings in the door jamb for receiving the bolts of conventional door knob/lock set and of a dead bolt lock, so that the door cannot readily be forced open without destroying virtually the entire door frame or the door.
