Abstract of the Invention A unitary, telescoping plug is provided for clos- ing the open tubing at opposite ends of a back pack frame. The plug is provided at one end with resilient jaws for gripping a transverse rivet or the like in a completed back pack frame. Upon telescoping of the portions of the plug the jaws are held firmly in gripping relation about the rivet whereby it is substantially possible to remove the plug .
